Approved Neighbourhood Area Designations


The designation of a 'neighbourhood area' is the first formal stage in the neighbourhood plan process. The following Parish Councils have successfully had their neighbourhood area applications approved (further details about their applications are shown below):

  • Ashton under Hll Parish Council (designated December 2015)
  • Bredon, Bredon's Norton and Westmancote Parish Council (designated March 2015)
  • Broadway Parish Council (designated February 2014)
  • Cleeve Prior Parish Council (designated May 2013)
  • Drakes Broughton, Wadborough and Pirton Parish Council (designated March 2015)
  • Eckington Parish Council (designated March 2015)
  • Hanbury Parish Council (designated October 2014)
  • Harvington Parish Council (designated March 2015)
  • Honeybourne Parish Council (designated September 2015)
  • North Claines Parish Council (designated May 2013)
  • Pebworth Parish Council (designated April 2013)

Wychavon's Neighbourhood Area Designation Parish Map

Following a 2015 amendment to the Neighbourhood Plan (General) Regulations 2012, regulation 6A now gives local authorities 8 weeks to determine a Neighbourhood Area application once received. Delegated authority from Council at its meeting on 21 April 2015 was given to the Head of Housing and Planning Services, in consultation with the relevant Portfolio Holder, to approve Neighbourhood Area applications within the 8 week period.
 

Approved - Ashton under Hill Parish Council's Neighbourhood Area Designation Application

Wychavon District Council received an application for the designation of a Neighbourhood Area by Ashton under Hill Parish Council on Tuesday 3 November 2015. The four week consultation ran from Friday 6 November until Friday 4 December 2015, and no objections were received on the proposed neighbourhood area boundary. The Neighbourhood Area was subsequently approved by Gary Williams, Head of Housing and Planning Services and Councillor Rob Adams, Portfolio Holder for Planning Policy on 18 December 2015.

Approved - Honeybourne Parish Council's Neighbourhood Area Designation Application

Wychavon District Council received an application for the designation of a Neighbourhood Area by Honeybourne Parish Council on Wednesday 12 August 2015. The four week consultation ran from Monday 17 August until Monday 14 September 2015 and no objections were received on the proposed neighbourhood area boundary. The Neighbourhood Area was subsequently approved by Gary Williams, Head of Housing and Planning Services and Councillor Rob Adams, Portfolio Holder for Planning Policy on 25 September 2015.

Approved - South Lenches Parish Council's Neighbourhood Area Designation Application

Wychavon District Council received an application for the designation of a neighbourhood area by South Lenches Parish Council on Thursday 16 July 2015. The four week consultation ran from Wednesday 22 July until 5pm Wednesday 16 August 2015 and no objections were received on the proposed neighbourhood area boundary. The Neighbourhood Area was subsequently approved by Gary Williams, Head of Housing and Planning Services and Councillor Rob Adams, Portfolio Holder for Planning Policy on 10 September 2015.

Approved - Harvington Parish Council's Neighbourhood Area Designation Application

Wychavon District Council received an application for the designation of a neighbourhood area by Bredon, Bredon's Norton and Westmancote Parish Council and Harvington Parish Council. The six week consultation ran from Friday 9 January until 5pm Friday 20 February 2015 and no objections were received on either of the proposed neighbourhood area boundaries.The Neighbourhood Areas were subsequently approved by Executive Board on 17 March 2015 and (as drawn in the maps in the link below) are now formally designated.

Wychavon District Council received an application for the designation of a neighbourhood area by Eckington Parish Council and Drakes Broughton, Wadborough and Pirton Parish Council. The six week consultation ran from Wednesday 15 October until 5pm Wednesday 26 November 2014 and no objections were received on either of the proposed neighbourhood area boundaries.The Neighbourhood Areas were subsequently approved by Executive Board on 17 March 2015 and (as drawn in the maps in the link below) are now formally designated.

Approved - Hanbury Parish Council's Neighbourhood Area Application Designation

Wychavon District Council received an application for the designation of a neighbourhood area by Hanbury Parish Council. The six week consultation ran from Monday 9 June until 5pm Monday 21 July 2014 and no objections were received on the proposed neighbourhood area boundary. Planning Committee considered Hanbury's Neighbourhood Area Application on 11 September 2014 and consider that it provides a ‘sound' basis for developing the neighbourhood plan. The Neighbourhood Plan was subsequently approved by Executive Board on 14 October 2014 and Hanbury Neighbourhood Area (as drawn in the map in the link above) is now formally designated.
 

Approved - Broadway Parish Council Neighbourhood Area Application Designation

Wychavon District Council received an application for the designation of a neighbourhood area by Broadway Parish Council. The consultation period for Broadway's application ended on Monday 9 December 2013, with no objections received to the boundary proposed. The application was subsequently approved at Planning Committee on 30 January 2014 and Executive Board on 4 February 2014.

Approved - Whittington Parish Council Neighbourhood Area Application Designation

The consultation for Whittington Parish Council's Neighbourhood Area Application commenced on Monday 1 July and ended at 5pm on Monday 12 August 2013. Six responses were received on the public consultation, with no objections raised to the boundary proposed. As a result, Whittington Parish Council's Neighbourhood Area Applications was given approval at Planning Committee on 10 October 2013 and Executive Board on 15 October 2013.

The consultation for Cleeve Prior and North Claines Parish Councils Neighbourhood Area Application commenced on 18 March and ended at 5pm on 29 April 2013. Four responses were received on the public consultation, with no objections raised to the boundary proposed. As a result, Cleeve Prior and North Claines Parish Council Neighbourhood Area Applications was given approval at Planning Committee on 23 May 2013 and Executive Board on 28 May 2013.

Approved - Pebworth Neighbourhood Area Application Designation

The consultation for Pebworth Neighbourhood Area Application commenced on 14 January and ended on 25 February 2013. Four responses were received on the public consultation, with no objections raised to the boundary proposed. As a result, Pebworth's Parish Council Neighbourhood Area Application was given approval at Planning Committee on 28 March 2013 and Executive Board on 10 April 2013.
