Grow in Wychavon

To find out what’s available from Wychavon to support new businesses please call Jane Dobson on 01386 565278 or email  In recent years many Wychavon businesses have benefited from business advice, support and grant funding from the European funded Enterprising Worcestershire programme.  This scheme has now finished.  To continue offering start up support, and working with Blue Orchid business advisors, Wychavon still has some funding available to support businesses at the pre-start stage.

This comprises an introductory Exploring Enterprise workshop which will introduce the programme, which will be tailored to your individual business needs with one to one advice from an experienced specialist business advisor.  The programme will explore all the aspects of starting a new business, including business planning and market research, and marketing and financial planning.

When you have completed the programme and your business plan has been approved you can apply to the Council for a grant of up to £500, or up to £750 if you are moving into business premises that are liable to business rates. The grant must be match-funded, pound for pound from your business's own resources. Only capital expenditure is eligible.

Wychavon is currently working with our partners to ensure that in future the range of business support programmes are on offer for specialised projects and for start up and growth businesses.  We anticipate that further funding will be available from September 2016.  To express an interest in funding and business support please contact Jane Dobson.

Wychavon is part of Worcestershire Business Central (WBC) a countywide single point of contact for businesses.  For more information about the range of business services available please call 0300 123 14 40 or see, email
