Spring Has Sprung!
The Prunus are on the
move! Prunus is the genus name for all the stone fruits i.e. plums,
cherries, peaches and nectarines. Blossom is appearing very quickly
with the hedgerows of sloe along the road from Spetchley Park
to County Hall predicted to be in full bloom in the coming days.
Ornamental cherries, almonds, peaches and nectarines are also
starting to blossom in gardens around the vale. Cherry plum blossom
is starting to appear in hedgerows and old orchards, and with the
current mild weather it is predicted to be in full bloom in the
next week or so.
