Scrap Metal Dealer Registration
| Licence summary |
To be a scrap metal dealer, you need to register with your local
authority.
We are responsible for keeping a register of "scrap metal
dealers" carrying on a business our area. Registrations have to be
renewed every three years.
Anyone not registered, but doing the following is committing an
offence:
- they have a scrap metal store in wychavon and trade scrap
metal.
- they don't have a scrap metal store but they trade scrap metal
and live in wychavon
- they don't have a scrap metal store or live in the area, but
they have an office in wychavon where a scrap metal business is
operated from.
If you want to check the register (last
updated October 2009), or get registered yourself, please
phone us.
Dealers have to keep records of what they buy and who they buy
it from, and what they sell and who to.
