News - Local Land Charges Register

The Government has concluded that charging a fee for a personal search of the Local Land Charge Register is incompatible with the Environmental Information Regulations 2004(EIR) and the underlying 2003 EU Directive. Following this conclusion the Government is revoking the current £22.00 fee by amending the Local Land Charges Rules 1977.

The amendment will come into force on the 17^th August 2010 and Wychavon District Council will cease to charge this fee with effect from that date.

Information contained in the Register which is now deemed to fall under the Enviornmental Information Regulations will now be available to view from 17 August 2010 within My Local Area on our Web Site.

Questions submitted independently

There is an additional fee of £15.00 applied to requests for individual questions requested from the Con29R and Con29O when a full search has not previously been carried out by the same applicant.

Do you accept Client Cheques?

No, Wychavon do not accept client cheques.
You can pay by direct debit by contacting the Local Land Charges department direct on 01386 565001

NOTE: With regard to additional enquiries concerning Highway matters Wychavon are under instructions from Worcestershire County Council not to accept these. Any additional written enquiries which relate to highway matters, i.e. limits, should be addressed to Worcestershire County Council direct, please contact them direct for their fees.
