The annual St. Richard’s Festival and Classic and Vintage Car Rally

an ideal day out over the bank holiday weekend.
The event sees the return of medieval favourites “Merrie England”
to Vines Park who will be putting on performances featuring combat
knights, fire juggling, musicand storage. There is also
a medieval encampment giving visitors the chance to try
on armour, make a candle or listen to stories. Other
attractions include a farm animal corner, ferret racing, puppet
shows, craft activities, stalls, canoe taster sessions, canal boat
trips on the Pamela May and the duck race, which takes place at
3.30pm. Keen gardeners will have chance to swap seeds at the

project.
Over 100 classic cars will be parked up throughout the town centre
where visitors can view a wide selection of vehicles through the
ages. The day sees the return of the popular Italian Market
offering a range of foods to tempt taste buds. There will
also be a Craft and Farmers’ Market in Victoria Square and Morris
Dancing to entertain visitors. St. Andrews Church will host a
second hand book sale along with craft stalls.
Visitors to St. Andrews Square Shopping Centre can enjoy maypole
dancing, wandering minstrels, circus skills and an owl display.
Dodderhill Tower will be open during the morning offering
spectacular views over Droitwich Spa.
