Amending your planning application following the grant of planning permission

Some minor changes can be dealt with as amendments to your planning permission, while more significant changes may need to take the form of a new application.  Where changes are proposed, there are 3 basic criteria for judging whether changes can be dealt with as amendments (for more detail, see the chart within the "guidelines on amending plans" below:

 - the degree of physical change, including the siting, size and design of buildings, accesses, parking, etc:
 - the degree of change to the proposed uses: and
 - the impact of the changes on planning considerations such as neighbours' amenity, the appearance of the area and
   highway safety.

The Council's guidelines on amending plans  (60.19 KB) is available from this download link.

To amend your planning permission following an approval, the form below will need to be completed, together with any necessary plans or information.  (Please follow the checklist situated at the bottom of the application form, as this will ensure your application is processed efficiently as possible).

Please note: you are unable to apply for a non-material amendment following approval for Listed Building Consent, you will need to apply for a new Listed Building Consent application. (11 Listed Building Consent - LBC)
