Planning applications can be approved (with or without
conditions) or refused. Reasons will be given for the
decision, and if applicable, for any conditions that are
attached.

will be emailed or posted a letter telling them of the
decision.

the Head of Planning Services and the planning officers under
a scheme of delegated authority.
Applications for major development proposals are decided by the
Council’s Development Control Committee. Applications for
minor development may also be called to the Committee at the
request of the Local ward Councillor or Head of Planning
Services.
