How does your garden grow?

Residents in Wychavon are being asked for their views on the allotment provision in the area as part of the work of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee. Drop in sessions will take place over August at leisure centres across Wychavon and will give residents the opportunity to provide feedback.

Cllr. Rob Adams, Chair of Overview and Scrutiny said “Growing your own food has become a really popular pastime nationally, but not everyone in the area can get access to the land they would like. This scrutiny exercise is about bringing together ideas and solutions that might make this a reality. We encourage people to come down to the leisure centres and tell us what they think.”

Although Wychavon don’t provide any allotments, it is a topic that’s important to local people and there is a need to find more imaginative and creative solutions that can provide people with more growing options.

The team will be at: Pershore Leisure Centre 10 August 2010 4-7pm, Evesham Leisure Centre, 12 August 2010 4-7pm and Droitwich Leisure Centre, 16 August 2010 4-7pm.
