Droitwich Arts 4 All
After the success of the first Droitwich Spa
Arts 4 All, the event is back for another year.
On Saturday 6 March, from 12-4pm, the Norbury
Theatre in Friar Street, Droitwich, opens its doors to reveal
taster sessions of drama, visual art, youth theatre, art and
creative exercise, flower arranging, jewellery, singing, circus and
music. There is something for all ages from young to old and it is
all FREE.
There will be performances, workshops and
information from Droitwich Spa Arts Society, For Droitwich Spa
(Music and Drama Festival), Intertext Gallery, (art and
installation), Vivre Youth Theatre, Norbury Youth Theatre,
Community Play ‘A Canal runs through it’, Liz Mansfield (art and
creative exercise), Cherrie Mansfield (art) Wychavon District
Council (Arts Development) and W-Factor performances.
Lionel Harrison (art), Droitwich Flower Club,
Jenny Tranter (jewellery), Jenny Hope (poetry), Sarah James
(poetry) and Vale Harmony (singing) will also all be there.
There will also be snacks and
refreshments.
This project has been organised by For
Droitwich Spa, The Norbury Theatre and Wychavon District Council,
and it has been funded by Droitwich Market Town Partnerships and
Wychavon District Council.
Jenny Davis, Arts Development Officer, said:
“I am delighted that Droitwich Arts 4 All is happening again. It is
so important that people know what is going on in the town and the
surrounding areas and for Droitwich’s cultural and economic growth.
It sounds like it is going to be a great fun packed day with a
fantastic line-up.”
