The W Factor

Calling all film makers and visual artists!

Are you aged between 11-18 and living in Wychavon?

If the answer is ‘YES’, then there is still time for you to enter for this year’s W Factor in the Short Film and Visual Arts Categories.

Short Film Category: send in on a DVD a clip no longer than 5 minutes long with your completed application form.

Visual Arts Category: send in up to 5 images of your work on a CD along with your completed application form.

The deadline to get your entries in is Monday 1 March 2010.

Auditions were held in early February for the performing arts categories and 18 acts have been selected for the final show. The competition again was very strong and we have more finalists in singing than ever before.

The finals show is taking place on Monday 22 March 2010 at Evesham Arts Centre from 7.30pm.

Tickets are on sale now at The Almonry Museum, Evesham (01386 446944) at £4.00 per person in advance or £5.00 on the door.

Jenny Davis, Arts Development Officer at Wychavon District Council, said: “The W Factor is now in its third year and is still producing new young talent from Wychavon and giving them a chance to shine.  I’m looking forward to the new categories of musical theatre and short film this year. For the first time the public can attend the show so we are hoping for a good turn out.”
