£50k for good causes
Every year Wychavon gives away thousands of
pounds to local voluntary groups and organisations for good causes
throughout the district and it’s that time of year again to get
applications in.
This year the theme is topically the Olympics,
although applications for other areas will still be considered,
with £50,000 up for grabs.
Tracy Grubb, Community Development
Officer at Wychavon said “We always get lots of
applications for funding for village halls, sporting activities,
youth facilities, arts and play, but don’t be limited to that, be
as imaginative as possible. Applications need to demonstrate
community support or need, involve as many local people as
possible, be sustainable for the long term and have other funding
sources to meet the full costs of the project. We look forward to
receiving applications in the New Year.”
The grants are launching early this year on 3
January with applications closing on noon on 30 March 2012.
