Community Grants going well

Applications for this year’s Community Grants are going well with over fifty application packs sent out to community groups across the district.

Tracy Grubb, Community Development Officer at Wychavon said “We’ve had a lot of interest in this year’s grants and we’re hoping for some really good applications. We’re continuing to encourage as many applications as possible, so if you haven’t requested a pack yet get in quick!”

Every year Wychavon give away thousands of pounds to local voluntary groups and organisations for good causes throughout the district and it’s that time of year again to get applications in. With £50,000 up for grabs, this year’s theme is topically the Olympics, although this does not exclude other aspects of community life, such as community buildings, arts, sports – in fact any project that benefits the community and be sustainable.

Applications for grants close at noon on 30 March 2012.

You can request an application pack online here or by contacting Tracy Grubb on 01386 565168 or
