After School Clubs

In the lead up to the Olympic Torch Relay coming to Wychavon local first and middle schools are getting busy creating artworks ready for the events in Droitwich in May and Broadway in July.

Badsey First, Broadway First, Witton Middle, Overbury First, St Peters First, Ombersley First and St Marys Catholic Primary are all working on a contemporary dance and samba drumming piece and creating flags and costumes to go with it, based on Carnival and different sports.

Each school is having a professional artsworker come to their school once a week up until the events themselves. Sedgeberrow First, and Chawson First Schools are also creating their own artwork in the form of some huge Olympic rings and a banner to wave at the event.

If you want to see the outcome of their hard work then come to Droitwich on 24th May or Broadway on 1st July.
