There are three purpose built Arts venues within Wychavon, these are Evesham Arts Centre, Norbury Theatre in Droitwich Spa and Number 8 Community Arts Centre in Pershore.

Art in Libraries

Are you a local artist? Do you want to exhibit?
Worcestershire County Council libraries including Evesham, Droitwich and Pershore have space for to exhibit your work.

Programming Policy

The Libraries Arts programme exists to support the development of libraries as community facilities and the promotion and development of the arts in Worcestershire.

The programming of the LIbrary Galleries seeks to present a diverse range of exhibitions in the local community, through developing balanced programmes that

  • present different media and approaches to the creative process, and explore a variety of themes
  • offer new and established artists the opportunity to exhibit.
  • offer societies and groups the opportunity to exhibit in their community. Individual libraries will have different guidelines about frequency of exhibitions to ensure fairness and schieve a balanced programme.
  • present local work and work of regional and national significance

Notes for exhibitors

  • Programmes are set a calendar year in advance at meeting held in Autumn each year.
  • Potential exhibitors should complete and return an Expression of Interest form, available from your library;
    Evesham Library - Sue Williamson or Barbara Dovey  
    Droitwich Library - Val Booler
    Pershore Library - Jenny Brumhead
  • If offered an exhibition you will be required to cmplete a contact and provide information for Gallery publicity
  • Insurance is the responsibility of the exhibitor.
  • Sales can be made through the libraries (though selling is not the primary purpose of the galleries), commission will be charged at 20% plus VAT.
