Sports Coaches
As a parent what should you look for in a sports coach?
A Sports Coach is a qualified National Governing Body coach with
relevant experience, who is committed to continous professional
development and has been checked by the Criminal Records
Bureau.
They should be able to
- Coach young people providing a high-quality, enjoyable
experience
- Develop the FUNdamentals (Agility, Balance, Co-ordination) and
sports skills across a number of physical activities and
sports.
- Help to keep young people in sport and providing guidance on
progression opportunities.
It would also be a good idea to take a look at the Safeguarding and Protecting page which will give
you an insight into what is expected from a child and a parent in a
sporting activity.
