 Youth Music Project

The aim of the Youth Music Project  is to enhance the abilities and opportunities for young bands and musicians in the area with individual sessions providing everything from Stage performance techniques and song writing sessions through to ear training and gig promotion
The sessions run in three schools in Wychavon and have received great support from the teachers, parents and students alike.
The Youth Music Programme has allowed over 100 young people the opportunity to develop their skills and move on to either higher or further education as well as perform in front of in excess of a total of 100,000 people since its inception into the Wychavon District. Several of them perform at the Wychavon Party in the Parks held in August each year in Droitwich Lido Park, Evesham Abbey Park and Pershore Abbey Park.

Youth Club leaders have reported a reduction in unsociable behaviour due to the ability of reward schemes that allow appropriately behaved members to visit gigs that the bands have put on the local areas or at the youth clubs themselves.
