Community Strategy and LSPs

A community strategy or plan is a visionary document.  It sets out the priorities for a particular locality and how key organisations and agencies are working together to improve the quality of life for everyone who lives in, works in or visits the area.

In Worcestershire the county and district Local Strategic Partnerships (LSPs) have collaborated to produce a single Community Strategy for the county.  This contains countywide and district specific priorities.

In Wychavon, the district Local Strategic Partnership (LSP) is responsible for preparing the community strategy, managing its implementation and reporting progress against the actions in it.  The Wychavon Strategic Partnership brings together representatives from public, private, community and voluntary agencies and the chairs of the district’s three area based partnerships.
