Garden Waste

What Can I Do With My Garden Waste?

  • Home composting is a great way of dealing with your garden waste and vegetable peelings
  • You can take your garden waste to one of the Household Recycling Centres
  • We provide a chargeable collection service using wheeled bins - see below to register your interest
  • We provide a chargeable collection service using sacks (for households where bins are not available) - see below

Garden Waste (Wheelie Bin) Collection Service Is Now Full

The garden waste service is currently full. We will throughout the year be reviewing the position as some customers do not renew their annual subscription.  We can take expressions of interest and we will contact you if bins become available.  This service is not available for households with sack collections

The cost of the service for one year is £40 by Direct Debit. To register your expression of interest click here.

Our garden waste collection service is specifically designed for residents who generate a lot of garden waste but don't have sufficient home composting facilities, so help keep your garden tidy and do your bit for the environment.

You can put all your compostable garden waste in a special 240 litre brown wheeled bin which is collected every fortnight throughout the year. We continue collecting throughout the winter months on the normal fortnighly schedule, weather permitting.
