Waste Research 2007

We carried out a variety of research to help inform the big decision on waste.  This involved focus groups, online consultation and roadshows to get your views on the future of waste collection and recycling.

Waste and Liveability Research 2005

We commissioned RBA Research Ltd to consult residents on a number of issues around waste and liveability.

The research consisted of face-to-face in-home interviews with 703 residents during November and December 2005 and also facilitating four Focus Groups in January 2006.

The specific objectives of the survey were to understand residents’:

  • Satisfaction with waste and recycling services
  • Preferences for waste and recycling
  • Views on opportunities to increase recycling
  • Satisfaction with cleanliness of the area
  • Satisfaction with the local area
  • Perceptions of crime and safety
  • Satisfaction with and use of local sport and leisure facilities
  • Views on the Council’s priorities
  • Views on what constitutes a good quality of life
  • Receipt and readership of Council communications
