Use of Resources
KPMG LLP is the appointed auditior of Wychavon District Council.
External audits are undertaken in accordance with the
Audit
Commission's Code of Audit Practice.
External audits tell us how well we are doing as a council and
help us to imporve the services we provide for our communities.
In 2006, the Council was one of only a few councils nationally
to be awarded the top marks by the Audit Commission for its “use of
resources” .Here is the self
assessment (44.01 KB) that we submitted and
the
final auditors report (84.12 KB)..
The latest details of our most recent external audit are set out
in the annual
audit letter (101.10 KB).
The purpose of preparing and issuing annual audit letters is to
communicate to the audited body and key external stakeholders,
including members of the public, the key issues arising from
auditors' work, which auditors consider should be brought to the
attention of the audited body. The annual audit letter covers the
work carried out by auditors since the previous annual audit letter
was issued.
The Audit
and Inspection Plan (128.89 KB) provieds
details of the audit and inspection work that KPMG and the Audit
Commission undertook in 2006/7 at Wychavon District Council.
