The Selection Process
Please ensure you read the Guidance Notes for Completing the
Application Form. By following the Guidelines you will maximise
your chance of being shortlisted.
Please note the closing date and time for applications. Late
applications will not normally be accepted.
Photographs, CV’s and Equal Opportunities Monitoring information
will be detached before the applications are considered by the
shortlisting panel.
Shortlisted applicants will be notified by telephone. This will
be followed up by a letter detailing interview arrangements.
Appointment will be made subject to asylum and immigration
checks of entitlement to work in the UK, medical clearance, proof
of qualifications and receipt of references that are considered
satisfactory and acceptable by the Council. The position will be
subject to a satisfactory probationary period.
New employees will be taken through the induction process when
they start and will be invited to visit the Authority before
starting work.
A relocation package may be available where appropriate.
