Information:
Worcestershire has a local countywide domestic abuse 24 hour freephone helpline, provided by Women’s Aid, which deals with any queries from people who have or are experiencing domestic abuse, or from those who may be worried about someone experiencing it. You can call if you need a listening ear, advice, and access to refuge accommodation, support/advocacy and/or someone to talk to.

If English is not your first language, there are support workers available (via an appointment system) who you can talk to in Punjabi, Urdu, Bengali and Polish. Please note that an appointment can be arranged for you to meet up with a support worker.

If you are a man who has or is currently experiencing domestic abuse, there are male support workers (should you prefer to talk to a male worker) who understand what you are going through who are there to support you and your family. Please note that an appointment can be arranged for you to meet up with a support worker.

The website is dedicated to domestic abuse, and includes a range of information about domestic abuse, the housing & support options available in Worcestershire & links to appropriate contacts (including other websites & phone numbers)

West Mercia Women’s Aid

Information:
West Mercia Women’s Aid can provide support to you in your own home for female and children victims of domestic abuse. They also provide a 24-hour free phone helpline, Freedom Programme and provide refuge emergency accommodation. They also have Independent Domestic Violence Advisors who can help support you through the court process

Independent Domestic Violence Advisors

(Who work for West Merica Women’s Aid and Stonham

The Independent Domestic Violence Advisors are a specialist team of staff who support people who are deemed to be in high-risk domestic abuse situations. The workers are specifically trained and qualified to advise you of the options and choices available to you and your family with a focus on managing the risk you and your family are facing. With their help you will be able to make an informed choice about what you would like to do about your own personal circumstances and situation.

Information:
For queries or information on Multi Agency Risk Assessment Conferences (MARAC). These are meetings involving a range of organisations to discuss individuals and families situation in relation to domestic abuse to inform safety plans to help manage the risks that your family are experiencing

Information:
Relate is the UK's largest provider of relationship counselling and sex therapy. They also offer a range of other support services such as counselling for children. Relate understand what's going on in relationships and helps couples change things for the better.

There are four Relate Offices in Worcestershire, Broadway, Bromsgrove, Great Malvern and Kidderminster

A free, confidential &non-judgemental service run by women for women who have experienced any form of rape or sexual abuse at any time.

You will be able to speak to someone Mondays and Thursday 7.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m. At any other time, you can leave a message on the 24 hour answer phone or email on wrsasc@aol.com

Worcestershire Safeguarding Children Board

The Worcestershire Safeguarding Board (WSCB) consists of senior representatives of the main agencies which have a responsibility to safeguard children. It is a forum for establishing and guiding the services in Worcestershire to safeguard and promote the well-being of children.

Outreach Support  Service Information:
Support can be provided for you whether you are with or without your current partner, wherever you are living and anywhere in Worcestershire. You can choose where and when you meet with a support worker.
Children’s Support Service Information:
Support is offered for your children whilst you are receiving a support service, which is provided by qualified workers. The level of support varies depends on the needs of your child/ren and will vary at any one time according to the number of children and young people within families being supported at that time. This support aims to enable your child/ren to regain their confidence and self-esteem and for them to start to be able to deal with the effect that domestic abuse has had on them from what they have experienced or witnessed.
