Sex Establishment Licensing – Consultation on Draft Policy

On 18 November 2015, at a meeting of the Licensing Committee, approval was given to undertake consultation on the following draft Sex Establishment Licensing Policy.

Sex Establishment Licensing Policy

The draft policy sets out how applications for sex shops, sex cinemas and sexual entertainment venues should be made to the Council and how the Council processes those applications.  It also sets out what will be considered when determining applications setting out the grounds on which the Council can refuse applications.  The draft policy also sets out the standard conditions that will be attached to any licences granted.

This consultation will be open for responses until 19 February 2016, and all responses received will be given consideration by the Council before a finalised policy is approved and implemented.
