Each year we offer a variety of work placements for students.  These include paid full time sandwich course placements alongside part time work based learning roles to support those in higher education.  In addition to this we also offer work experience opportunities in different service units so that young people can learn more about what we do and how they could get into a career in local government.  We also run some events throughout the year to promote community involvement such as our annual Takeover Day activities and also host community roadshows throughout the year so you can meet us and find out  more about what we do.

Work placements within Community Services

In our community services team we offer sandwich year placements for Tourism and Regeneration and Community Development Assistants.
