Each year we offer a variety of work placements for students. These include paid full time sandwich course placements alongside part time work based learning roles to support those in higher education. In addition to this we also offer work experience opportunities in different service units so that young people can learn more about what we do and how they could get into a career in local government. We also run some events throughout the year to promote community involvement such as our annual Takeover Day activities and also host community roadshows throughout the year so you can meet us and find out more about what we do.
Work placements on the Wychavon Youth Bus
In our Strategy & Communications team we have full and part time opportunities to gain experience assisting with the delivery of The Wychavon Youth Bus. This involved providing positive activities for young people in rural areas and assisting with the promotion and marketing of the project. Opportunities available to work with us include full time sandwich course placements and also flexible paid work based learning up to 26 hours per week.
Work placements within Community Services
These student under graduate placements assist in the effective delivery of our Tourism and Regeneration service and Community Development Team. They involve promoting tourism opportunities and events (Regeneration) and assist with delivering Arts, Sports and Play initiatives (Community Development).
If your considering a placement in the future or helping out as a volunteer to gain work experience you can also register your interest and we can let you know about future opportunities.
