About the Educational Psychology Service

The Educational Psychologists employed by Worcestershire Local Authority sit within two Area Teams:

They form part of the recently established Specialist Inclusion Service.

Educational Psychologists employed by Worcestershire are registered with the Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and are qualified to the standards recognized by the British Psychological Society and the Association of Educational Psychologists.

There is a statutory duty for Educational Psychologists to engage in continuing professional development to maintain this registration. Trainee Educational Psychologists who are enrolled on approved training courses work under the supervision of Senior Educational Psychologists within the team.

Educational Psychologists have wide experience of working within pre-school and school settings supporting children and young people. They have advanced qualifications including a masters/doctorate degree which is recognized as professional training by the HCPC.
