Wychavon District Council in partnership with Worcestershire County Council have developed a Health and Wellbeing Partnership Plan for the district. The aim is to promote, encourage and support partners to plan, create policies and deliver programmes that contribute to healthier lifestyles in Wychavon

The plan outlines the local response to delivering against the Worcestershire County Council Health and Wellbeing priorities and specific priorities for Wychavon by showing how partners are creating and developing opportunities for local residents to improve their health and wellbeing..

The main focus areas are:

  • Reducing smoking in pregnancy
  • Homelessness
  • Achieving a healthy weight
  • Alcohol
  • Mental & Emotional Health
  • Access to services in rural areas

The Wychavon Health and Well-being Partnership Plan is a dynamic plan that will change with time as new and emerging evidence arises.

To deliver this plan we work with organisations such as: Community and Voluntary organisations including volunteer centres, Age UK, Older Peoples Forums, Worcestershire County Council including children's centres, libraries, Wychavon District Council Departments – Community Development, Regeneration, Housing, Schools, Other health Improvement Coordinators, GP's, Physio's, Nurses, Clinical Commissioning groups and Leisure Providers.
