We’ve launched a £150,000 Community Recovery Fund to support community groups and organisations affected by the pandemic, whether they need help with running costs or meeting increased demand. This fund is not to support businesses with running costs.

The grant fund will stay open until the end of October 2023 unless all the money is allocated before then.

Who can apply?

Applications are welcome from community groups/organisations operating or providing services in Wychavon who need financial assistance to aid recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. We would welcome applications from a diverse range of community groups, especially those which have been disproportionately affected by Covid-19.

If an applicant isn’t a formally constituted group with its own bank account they can partner with an appropriate constituted organisation in their locality, such as the parish council or another community organisation, to act as the accountable body and receive and administer the funds on their behalf.

What are the grants for?

The grants are to support to community groups/organisations that require funding to assist with their day-to-day running costs to aid recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic. They are also available to organisations that have experienced an increase in demand as result of the pandemic and wish to expand their services to meet the need

Applicants must be able to demonstrate the impact that the pandemic has had on their organisation, how the funding will be used, how it will directly help communities recover from the pandemic and the difference it will make to Wychavon residents.

We expect grant awards to be between £300 and £10,000 depending on need.

You will need to tell us what impact the pandemic has had on your organisation, its finances and its services/activities. You need to provide details of any other funding you have received in relation to the pandemic and tell us how you would use a Community Recovery Fund grant and the difference the funding will make to people in Wychavon.

What are the timescales?

We will deal with applications as they come in and agree grant awards on a rolling monthly basis. The fund will close at the end of October 2023, or when it is all allocated, whichever is sooner.

Terms and conditions

We will pay grants in full on approval of funding.

All successful applicants will be required to report back to us on how the grant was used and the difference the funding made within three months of payment or on completion of spend.
