Clean, green and safe places:

15 September 2016

The event included presentations on:

  • Reducing and preventing crime – tips and support that’s available to you – from our Community Safety Manager and Business and Rural Crime Co-ordinator

  • Organising a clean-up/litter pick – how to go about it and what support we can offer

  • Money matters – our Deputy Managing Director, Vic Allison, will update you on budgets, Council Tax setting and New Homes Bonus

  • Supporting and informing local councils - Richard Levett, Executive Officer, Worcestershire County Association of Local Councils

There will also be the opportunity for you to attend a choice of two 30 minute learning/we could do that sessions.

Strong communities event: 9 June 2015

This event focused on the part parish and town councils can play in developing and supporting strong local communities.  Topics included community renewable energy projects, New Homes Bonus, the Wychavon Rural Communities programme and affordable housing for local people.  Participants also heard some of the latest data about Wychavon and from the Police and Crime Commissioner's Community Ambassador.

Parish councils - localism in action event: 26 March 2014

From creating neighbourhood plans and running services, to spending New Homes Bonus and nominating assets of community value, the role and influence of parish councils is changing.  This event covered a range of localism-related topics, with advice and practical examples about how parish and town councils can make the most of the some of the new opportunities available to them.
