Circus acts and puppet shows return to Wychavon’s parks

Free circus fun and puppet shows will be returning to Wychavon’s parks over the summer holidays for children and families to enjoy.

Clive Chandler’s World Famous Punch and Judy Show will be back in Evesham, Pershore and Droitwich by popular demand.

The Circus Skills Workshops will also return and will offer feather balancing, plate spinning juggling, low tightrope and more. Children will have the chance to learn something new whilst enjoying themselves at the same time.

The events will be held on the following dates:

  • 6 August- Circus Skills at Lido Park, Droitwich.
  • 7 August- Puppet Show at Abbey Park, Evesham.
  • 13 August- Circus Skills at Abbey Park, Pershore.
  • 20 August- Circus Skills at Abbey Park, Evesham.
  • 21 August- Puppet Show at Lido Park, Droitwich.
  • 28 August- Puppet Show at Abbey Park, Pershore.

On each day there will be three, 30 minute puppet shows near the bandstands at each park starting at 11am, 1pm, and 3pm. The Circus Skills Workshops will run from 11am to 3pm.

Cllr Emma Stokes, Portfolio Holder for the Environment and Street Scene at Wychavon District Council said:  “Events like these are a positive and fun way to bring the community together throughout the summer holidays and I think children and families should really take advantage of what’s on offer. I urge anyone in Wychavon to go to their local park and join in the fun! ”.
