Oil painting, pottery, mosaic tile making and more will once again be on offer at a Pinvin pub as a fun social arts and crafts group returns to the village.
Because of their popularity with residents, and thanks to funding from Wychavon District Council and Pinvin Parish Council, the arts and craft classes in the Coach and Horses pub will be on offer throughout May, June and July.
The next class for adults, which will be pottery, is on 5 June from 10.30am until 12 noon and costs £4 per person (with refreshments included).
The art classes will then run every other Tuesday as follows:
- 19 June – Making things for the garden (like decorating terracotta plant pots).
- 3 July – learn the art of mosaics and make your own mosaic tile.
- 17 July – reusing paper and the art of origami.
All classes start at 10.30am and will run until 12 noon, and cost £4 per person.
Jenny Davis, Arts Development Officer at Wychavon District Council, said: “It’s brilliant that these classes are continuing into July. Everyone who has come along to our group has had a fantastic time and the classes are very popular. There is very little for adults to do in the village so I’m glad that we can help reduce loneliness and isolation through the classes. The group is very friendly and there is always a warm welcome.”
If you want to book a place on the class, contact Jenny Davis on 01386 565396 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Funding for these classes will continue until March 2019, and more dates details will be announced shortly.
