Festive Fun on Westlands

Families have been invited to meet Santa Claus and enjoy a day of 'Festive Fun on Westlands'.

The event, which will be held on Friday 21 December from 4pm to 7pm in the district square, will offer activities for people of all ages.

The activities will start by meeting at the hall at 4pm for people to arm themselves with handmade decorations to place around the greenspace on the Westlands estate.

In preparation for the event, young people from DAFFY (Droitwich Action for Future Youth) have been making weather proofed, eco-friendly decorations such as pine cone wreaths and bottle top wreaths.

A Christmas tree will be put up in the square outside the Community Hall where residents can hang a wooden plaque with a message to a loved one.

Visitors can also decorate wooden shapes for their tree at home.

Children will be able to meet Santa Claus in his grotto on the Youth Bus from 5pm before the Christmas tree lights are switched on with carols at 7pm.

Refreshments will be available in the hall foyer from 4-6pm.
