Music workshops for people living with Dementia

Wychavon are proud to be continuing to support music workshops for people living with Dementia and their carers. The performances take place at the Number 8 Arts Centre in Pershore, starting at 1.30pm and finish at approximately 3pm.

Guests can join in at their own pace, find out about life as a professional musician or about favourite pieces of music, as well as share memories and thoughts about music.

Performances booked for 2020 are:
  • 15th January - Heather Wastie
Heather will be singing songs on her accordion, both familiar and new, and making music with percussion instruments. Anyone who has an instrument is welcome to bring it along. The main aim of the session is to have fun!
  • 19th February - Kel Elliot band
Kelvin and Kel are in a quirky band and will be performing some of their original music. Kelly sings and plays double bass and Kelvin plays acoustic guitar, ukele and does backing vocals. You will be in for a treat!.
  • 18th March - Samba workshops
Play along to African and Samba music with a range of drums and percussion instruments.

The cost to attend each workshop is just £2, and the price includes a hot drink and biscuits. To book a place on any of the workshops please contact the Number 8 Box Office on 01386 555488 or
