Seminars to prepare potential candidates for elections

Wychavon District Council is holding special seminars to help potential candidates prepare for the district and parish elections this year.

The elections team will give the prospective candidates advice on how to stand as a councillor and explain the election process ready for 2 May 2019.

As well as informing candidates on matters that will affect their campaign, it will also be a chance for them to meet and ask questions of the election team.

The seminars will be held at the Civic Centre in Pershore on:

  • 26 February at 6.15pm (District Council Elections)
  • 28 February at 6.15pm (Parish Council Elections)

Elaine Dicks, Electoral Services Manager at Wychavon District Council, said: "These seminars are a great way of preparing for the elections in May, both in building confidence and knowledge of the process. The potential candidates will have the chance to ask any questions and gain invaluable advice in return."
