Wychavon extends free parking offer

Free parking will continue in Wychavon's car parks until the start of May to support traders.

Until 3 May 2021, there will be no charge for using any Wychavon District Council owned pay and display car parks.

Following this, after 4 May the council will be re-introducing its half an hour parking for 50p offer and introducing a new 'buy one hour, get one free' offer until 5 September.

Normal charging will then re-start from 6 September.

The move will support traders that have reopened, as well as provide more time for people to stay in and around the towns.

Parking restrictions, including waiting times in on-street parking bays and double yellow lines, still apply and will be enforced.

Vic Allison, Chief Executive at Wychavon District Council, said: "Providing free parking is just one way we are supporting residents and businesses to get back to what we love safely. We continue to encourage everyone to follow Government guidelines to stop the spread of coronavirus".
