Planning and running a consultation
Tuesday 5 March 2019 | 6.30pm-8.30pm at The Old Library, Droitwich, WR9 8QS
Led by Paul Curry, Research and Intelligence Officer, David Manning, Community Programmes Manager and Cherrie Mansfield, Strategy and Performance Manager, from Wychavon District Council.
Come along to this workshop to find out what consultation is and what it isn’t. We’ll take you through the different stages in planning a consultation including who to consult, when to consult, which methods to use and what to do with the results.
From surveys and polls to focus groups and events, we will look at a range of different ways to gather views and offer advice on formulating questions. We will look at several examples of real consultation exercises and also briefly consider sample sizes, response rates and GDPR considerations.
This workshop is designed for community groups and organisations who want to find out how to plan and run an effective consultation exercise. It may be of particular interest to parish and town councils considering applying for a Community Legacy Grant or making a lottery bid.
All attendees will receive a copy of Wychavon’s consultation guidance for groups.
Bookings close a month before each workshop.
