Who's involved?

 

Wychavon Wellbeing Week takes place from 9 to 15 October 2017. The idea for it came from the Wychavon Partners Together health event that we held in November 2016.

The aims of the week are to:

  • Raise awareness of mental health issues and reduce the stigma associated with them.
  • Promote positive and practical ways to improve wellbeing.
  • Promote the help and support that’s available for people experiencing mental health problems.

During Wychavon Wellbeing Week lots of different organisations are putting on activities and events across Wychavon. These will be based around one or more of the five ways to wellbeing – connect, be active, take notice, keep learning and give. 

From health walks and sports taster sessions to talks and opportunities to give, there will be lots going on that you can get involved in. People will be encouraged to take the Wychavon Wellbeing Challenge and share through photos, postcards and on social media what they’ve done and how it made them feel.  We've got some great prizes too.

We would love to hear from you if you want to be involved in Wychavon Wellbeing Week and can offer to run some activities.  We would also like to hear from you if you’ve got wellbeing related activities already happening during that week that we can help to promote.
