For just £53 (paid via Direct Debit) you can take advantage of our popular garden waste service.
Garden waste will be collected every fortnight, all year round, in a 240 litre brown wheelie bin.
You can also rest assured you're still doing your bit for the environment because it's all composted centrally.

What can I put in my garden waste bin?

- Soil, stones, turf, bricks or rubble or sharp items
- Branches or tree stumps over 4 inches (10.16cm) in diameter
- Kitchen waste (veg peelings, tea bags and eggshells)
- Plastic bags, pots or trays
- Dog / cat waste
What else could I do with my garden waste?
- Home composting is a great way of dealing with your garden waste and vegetable peelings
- You can take your garden waste to one of the Household Recycling Centres
- We provide a chargeable collection service using wheeled bins - see below to register your interest

How to pay
New customers (Payment by Direct Debit only). The cost of the service for one year is £53 by Direct Debit.
Existing customers
If you pay by Direct Debit, your service will renew automatically unless you advise us prior to renewal that you wish to cancel the service.
If you've received an invoice for renewal, you can pay for this renewal online quickly and easily.
For customers renewing from 1st April 2024, the cost will be £53 for one year.

Garden waste sacks
Your garden waste sacks are taken together with the black sacks (residual waste) to an energy waste facility, so it can be turned into electricity.
Sacks can be purchased if garden waste bins are not available in your area or your household is exempt from wheelie bins. The sacks should be put out for collection with your grey wheelie bin or black sacks.
They can be purchased at £3.10 each from our Community Contact Centres in Evesham Library, Oat Street, Droitwich Spa Library, Victoria Square, Civic Centre, Pershore or Broadway Library. Alternatively, we can post them to you:
New price changes effective from 1 April 2024.
*The sacks are suitable for grass cuttings and light pruning’s only, no soil, rubble or sharps.

- £9.30 for 3 sacks
- £12.40 for 4 sacks
- £15.50 for 5 sacks
- £18.60 for 6 sacks
- £21.70 for 7 sacks
- £24.80 for 8 sacks
- £27.90 for 9 sacks
- £31.00 for 10 sacks

Disabled residents
Disabled residents on income support qualify for half price garden waste sacks and can be purchased at £1.55 each.
Evidence of entitlement will need to be shown by producing the Department of Works & Pensions award letter.
Each household is limited to fifty sacks per year. If disabled residents require sacks to be posted to them please see prices including postage below:
