Funding and Support
Community funding and support
We offer a range of advice, funding and other support to community groups and voluntary organisations across Wychavon to help them respond to local priorities and needs.
This page contains a summary of the support we offer as well as links to funding and support provided by other organisations. Use the links provided to find out more.
Communities Officers
Our three Communities Officers work closely with communities and a wide range of organisations across Wychavon including the three volunteer centres, parish and town councils, food banks and community groups. They support a variety of projects that will make the district a better place to live as well as supporting communities to respond to local priorities. We will be adding more details about how you can contact them and the support they can provide soon.
Funding sources
Wychavon Community Legacy Grants
Applications for our £1million Community Legacy Grant scheme will open in January 2024.
These grants are only open to Wychavon parish and town councils. It is for innovative, ambitious capital projects that meet local needs and that will create a significant and lasting impact. The scheme may also provide start-up funding for smaller, innovative projects that address local need.
For more information read our Community Legacy Grant page
Applications are open to communities throughout rural Wychavon for our Rural Fund. Grants of up to £25,000 are on offer to support new capital projects that bring something new to the community.
Projects must meet one or more specified priorities. These include capacity building and infrastructure support, improving green spaces, active travel, community projects and enhancing existing cultural, historic and heritage facilities. This fund is not available for staff costs, general operating expenses or services you are legally required to provide.
